Hey mama, are you tired?
Tired of feeling overwhelmed with the state of your house or your overstuffed closet?
Tired of feeling frustrated with your kids for being, well, kids?
Tired of feeling guilty for all. the. things you think you SHOULD be doing as a mom, wife, housekeeper, homeschooler, woman, party-planner, chef, chauffeur, gardener, psychologist, and friend?
- Or maybe just so physically tired that your own bed is your ultimate travel destination?
Let me just tell you, you are in the RIGHT PLACE.
Because I know where you are. And I also know this isn’t what motherhood is intended to be.
I want to help you find JOY in being a mom. To help you wake up in the morning with intention, ready to meet those little darlings that you love so much it hurts.
I want to help you to find ways to cut down the amount of time you spend on maintaining your home and all the things so you can actually enjoy the people you do all this work for.
I want you to know that you are an amazing mom. Because, even if you haven’t heard it in awhile or you can’t bring yourself to believe it, you ARE an amazing mom.
I have a few core beliefs about what can make motherhood joyful:
Hi, I’m Jen!
I’m an almost-40 year old homeschooling mom of 5 kids, ages 4-14 and a military wife.
To be honest, I never thought I’d be ANY of those things. My teenage vision for my life centered on gray skirt suits, Madison Avenue, and a luxury apartment on the upper West Side. Instead, I wear jeans and t-shirts, live in small-town Texas, and make bomb grilled cheese sandwiches.
It took me a LONG time (read: 10 years) to figure out how to find joy in motherhood. Sure, I like to think I faked it pretty well up until that point. But inside, I was a mess.
It wasn’t until I made the quality decision to get intentional with my life that things started to change. I decluttered my closets and created a capsule wardrobe. I decluttered my house. I created a morning routine. I changed our diet. And I learned to finally let go of perfectionism and love myself no matter how often I came up short.
I started this blog because I became OBSESSED with my new life and the joy I’ve since experienced as a mom.
And now it is my deepest desire to help other moms who are struggling with motherhood to find the same joy, too.
If you’re interested, I’ve developed an online course to help moms design a wardrobe that makes them feel confident, comfortable in their own skin and put together. More courses on time management for moms, decluttering, healthy eating and more are on the way.
